Summer began - let's go for Survival trip!!Survival trip is one of the most intresting activities in Summer. Let's find a way back to hornsjoe from the forest, from the near city, from whereever, safely. And enjoy a little bit sunshine when it's possible.
In the 24th week, May Team has adventured itself in a survival trip. We had to walk 15km – the shorter road – through woods up to a small cottage. Then we had to spend the night there and come back the next day.

The experience was, however, a bit harder than expected, because of our decision not to take any food with us in these 2 days. On the way there, we discovered the tasty leaves the forest had to offer, hoping that they will be able to catch a tastier fish once we got to the destination. The trip to the cottage lasted for 7 hours, with a few breaks and lots of laughter on the road.

Once we got there, we made leaves soup and a very natural herbal tea. There was the tradition so called camp fire alright, but the famished DIs couldn’t ignore the screams of their empty bellies so as to tell stories and play games until the wee hours of the morning. Hence, we cuddled in the sleeping bags, away from the flies and the world without food.
The next day, the group was divided. Some of us decided to leave to Hornsjo right away, for the fear of not eating for another day, and others decided to stay and make a soup out of the fishes caught in the net during the night. Needless to say that for both groups the trip back was pure torture. Almost all chose the straight, easier, but longer road – 21km -, and somehow, due to different speeds, most of us ended up alone on the road. The sun was burning, the bellies were way beyond the emptiness, and some of us were thinking to just lay there, on the side of the road, until someone will come looking for them.

Lo and behold, the brave DIs returned from their survival trip right in time for dinner. Some of us crying, some limping, but all of us happy that it is over. After one day of sleep, we all concluded that it was actually quite interesting pushing their limits, but we will think twice next time someone proposes something like this.
